Les Pas de Yu | Steps of Yu
Fili 周 Gibbons, with animations and live-painted projections by Paloma Dawkins
Performed at OBORO / Festival Accès Asie, Interval 2024 residency, May 5, 2024
A 50-minute multimedia performance, incorporating 4-channel sound tape with voice, ritual movement and cello performance, video art, and live projections.
The creation of this intermedia tapestry is inspired from traditional ritual and body practices that developed under ecological catastrophes at the core of proto-Chinese history, resonating with the theme of resilience, hope and care in uncertain times.
